Calling All Parents - Upcoming Winter Guard Competition

On Saturday, February 20, the Mighty Hawk Band will be hosting a Winter Guard Competition.  The competition is a tremendous fund raiser for the band.  In order for us to be the "Host with the most" we will need both parent and student volunteers.  At this time, we are looking for a commitment for a specific time slot and in a week we should be able to see where all of our needs are based on those commitments.

The scheduled times for the shifts are:  6 am - 11:30 am, 11 am - 5 pm, 4:30 pm - 11 pm.

The Percussion /  Color Guard Competition that will be hosted by the Birdville Hawk Band is only 2 1/2 weeks away.  At this time time we only have 34 of the 100 volunteers needed.  This competition has 75 different schools participating which means that we will need all 100 volunteers to make this work.  The time slots are 6 - 11:30 am, 11 am - 5:30 pm and 5 pm to close.  The majority of the positions are inside the coliseum.

This is a major fund raiser for the band.  If you will be able to participate, please send an email to bubbchaperones@hotmail.com as soon as possible so that we can contact you about a specific position.

Check Out The 2009-2010 Marching Show One Last Time

If you would like to view the show one last time, it has been uploaded to the Photos & Video page (previously Images / Photos).  There you will find the preliminary UIL performance for your viewing pleasure.  Note...this is not a professional recording of the show (can't post those), but a parent recorded version.  It still provides you with a good view of the entire show...start to finish.

Click here to take you to the Photos & Video page...or simply click at the top.

New Poll

When you are getting ready to go out...how punctual are you?

Click on the above clip art to take you to the Poll Page

Previous Poll Results: No bungee jumpers in our group?  Looks like zip lining through the trees won...but only by a one vote over white water rafting.  For those that have done neither...your webmaster suggests you not choose just one..but both!  Zip lining through the trees is a great experience and gives you a perspective of the area you have never seen before.  However, white water rafting provides a sense of "true" adventure; knowing the rapids are more powerful than everyone in the raft and you are at their mercy...providing you and your family with a wonderful adventure.  Just in case anyone would like to take part in one of these two adventures...I have added a couple of links below so you can check out both adventures.

Thanks for taking the time to take the newest poll!
