There are many fun and easy ways to get involved in the Mighty Hawk Band. Your work is greatly appreciated by the students, Directors, and supporters.

Every volunteer for the band program must be approved through the Birdville ISD Volunteer Portal. Please use the BISD Volunteer Form link to get approved.  Approval for 2020-2021 begins July 1st.

BISD Volunteer Form

A new form must be completed after July 1st of each year.  This is a required form to be a volunteer in BISD and for Band.

  • Chaperones for games, competitions, trips, and other events.

  • Logistics to help with props, loading and unloading instruments, props and equipment, and moving pit instruments.

  • Props Build Crew to construct field visuals and assist with setting the field during competitions and games.

  • Hospitality to help with event hospitality, contect rooms during Jazz Region, Region, NTCA, Social & Senior events.

  • Student Hospitality to assist with arranging for student meals and beverage and the Fall Cluster Rally pizza.

  • Uniforms during both marching and concert seasons.  Fitting, assigning, repairing, ironing/steaming, washing and organizing.  Uniforms are part of the visual experience and count toward any event achievement and are a critical element in any performance.

  • Stadium Cleanup provides cleanup service of the Birdville Stadium after home games while earning additional money for the band program.

  • CDL Driver is the certified driver for the equipment semi.  Additional opportunities may arise for a prop CDL driver.

  • Jazz Dinner Auction is the major fundraiser in the Spring that requires many parents to organize the jazz concert, dinner, live/silent auctions, collateral material, ticket sales, decorations, donation solicitation, and technology just to name a few.

  • Merchandise sales at football games and related events.

  • General volunteers are needed for a variety of events throughout the year.
